Here are just a few of the valuable
tips you will learn from this book:

Did you know that - when a buck rises out of his bed he will normally urinate in the bed before he walks away from it and a doe will walk away from her bed before urinating. This is nice to know if you are hunting in the snow where this sign would be pretty obvious.

Did you know that - acorns begin falling from the oaks on top of the ridges or hill tops or oak trees at higher elevations first and gradually work their way down to the lower elevations. You should know that deer prefer to feed on this food source as the acorns are falling. So listen for where the acorns are falling and hitting the forest floor and this is a good place to begin looking for sign of where the deer are presently feeding.

Did you know that - bucks have a scent gland in the roof of their mouth called a vemeronasal gland and when a buck extracts urine straight from the doe without it ever being exposed to the air, this gland allows the buck to more accurately determine the status of a does readiness to breed or the state of her estrous cycle. This process is called volmofaction.

Did you know that - for the first few days of a fawns life they are without scent and this is mother natures way of protecting them from many predators.

Did you know that - as a rule in the morning, air currents will tend to carry your scent up hill and in the afternoon, these currents will carry your scent down hill. This is vital information to know to aid your set up strategy

Did you know that - you should use several different types of deer calls much like a fisherman uses several different types of lures until he finds what the fish are hitting.

Did you know that - bucks will often create a type of sign post rub letting them know when they are approaching a low place in a fence for crossing or some other similar type of travel corridor offering them an easier travel route.

Did you know that - there are several ways to alter the deer travel patterns in such a way as to force or attract them to travel your property in certain situations.

Did you know that - if you concentrate and learn deer body language you would greatly increase your chances for success

Did you know that - when deer come into a food source, their route will normally be a direct path in but when they leave, they may exit in any direction that suites their fancy. This is a little like when you are called to the dinner table, you head straight for it but when your done, you may go do anything that suites you at the time thus taking you in any direction.
